Referred To Me By Marketing Legend Jay Abraham, My Client Brandon Yosha Of Yosha Law Signed On For SEO And Marketing Expertise. But What Happened Along The Way Was Also Business Coaching Mixed In With A Little Personal Coaching That Was An Enriching Experience For Both Of Us.
I had the sense early on that even though Brandon had already achieved some amazing career milestones, he wanted to keep excelling in every area of his life – professional, relationship, community, and spiritual.
Since I, too, have had some amazing and inspiring conversations with his cousin Jay, Brandon’s vision of preeminence resonated with me, and I wanted to help him accomplish his mission.
“When someone looks at our site now, I hope they would think that it’s all about them, what they are going through, how they can be the hero of their own story, and how they can prevail against the villain.”
It was clear that Yosha Law’s website needed SEO and content creation, but what I saw as the differentiator was creating remarkable content. Ultimately, I also recommended Brandon partner with Studio1 Design, the designers we know and trust, to update Yosha Law’s website.
Yosha had achieved unprecedented results seeking justice for their clients over six decades of practicing law, so the website content needed to reflect these values.
Anyone can come up with a list of keywords and create copy designed to rank in search engines, but what we set out – and accomplished – for Brandon and his firm was creating content of substance that brought value to the target audience. Because if it’s not engaging content that’s truly serving someone, then it’s not meaningful content.
Not only did the site overhaul look impressive, but after just six months of SEO implementation, I and my team helped Yosha Law sign sixty new, quality cases!
One of the key aspects of Brandon’s transformation was developing a strong personal brand that aligned with his values and expertise. Recognizing his potential as a thought leader in his field, we explored various avenues to showcase his knowledge and experiences.
The cornerstone of this strategy was authoring a memoir. Brandon hadn’t seriously considered writing a book due to how big an undertaking it would be. I felt this would be a major differentiator for Brandon in his field and so I laid out a plan that included him being interviewed by a ghostwriter and a professional audiobook narrator to step in so that Brandon didn’t have to do much of the heavy lifting.
One of the reasons I liked this project was because I saw it as a way to destigmatize personal injury law. We had talked about the negative connotations that come with the terrain of this field. Everybody is turned off by the sleazy ads and the posters that are plastered across billboards in every major city and town in the US.
Clearly, Yosha Law was the antithesis of an ambulance-chasing firm. And what better way to demonstrate who you really are than to write about your experiences in dealing with clients, insurance companies, and fighting for justice?
After all, how many personal injury attorneys are out there writing compelling memoirs? This was an opportunity Brandon could really run with where he could make a huge impact. This book would not only establish him as an authority in his field but also serve as a powerful tool to educate and empower others.
To bring this vision to life, I assembled a solid team including a ghostwriter, an Amazon bestseller specialist, and a publicist experienced in book launches. I also proposed he have an audiobook to reach a wider audience. Throughout the process, I guided Brandon to valuable resources that would support his journey as an author.
The book project not only strengthened Brandon’s already impressive personal brand but also provided a platform for him to share his passion and mission. It also allowed him to explore the complexities of each case, highlighting the long fights and ultimate triumphs. As Brandon noted, “It’s a long fight in every single one of those cases.”
“You introduced me to so many people, and that’s what I love about you. You truly want to open doors for the people that are in your life, and you have no problem doing that.”
The book initiative was a significant step in Brandon’s transformation, taking him from a successful attorney to a recognized thought leader in his field. His book, From Running Back to Giving Back: A Lineage of Civil Advocacy, serves as a testament to his dedication to his clients and his profession, while also opening new opportunities for growth and influence.
According to one Amazon reviewer, the book is “a must read for aspiring trial lawyers and anyone who is rooting for the little guy.”
One of, if not the most impressive accomplishment of Brandon’s career so far, is helping enact Norah’s Law in the State of Indiana in response to the tragic death of three-year-old Norah Owens.
Norah’s Law expands Indiana’s current move-over legislation, which only requires drivers to slow down or move over for emergency vehicles on the side of the road. Norah’s Law extends this protection to all stopped vehicles with hazard lights on, not just emergency ones.
Brandon’s intention in implementing this law was to prevent similar tragedies and increase safety for all motorists on Indiana’s roadways.
I was so blown away by Brandon’s perseverance in getting this law passed that I suggested we make a push to really get the word out. After all, not only is this a lifesaving law, but it’s truly a key piece of Yosha Law’s legacy.
At my suggestion, Yosha Law produced television spots and I and my team spearheaded a website to increase awareness of this issue – spreading the message that legislation like this is needed in every state in the nation.
I recommended Brandon participate in the Good Men Project and join the conversation about what it means to be a good man in the 21st century. Since then, he has attended events and shared his expertise in articles on their site.
I also suggested ways Brandon could get more exposure getting mentions and links in online magazines as well as publications such as Lawyer Monthly.
You’ve opened so many doors for me, whether it be working with Roger Love, with Savvy Copy, with Studio1, or with a co-writer of my book. You have opened so many doors.
It’s been such a joy to just have deep conversations with Brandon beyond marketing and business – where we connect his faith and spirituality with his mission as a trial lawyer fighting for justice.
It has been so rewarding to coach Brandon. He is not only passionate but also possesses the ability to take massive action on his convictions! I truly hope to keep the conversation going.
Thank you so much, Stephan. Thank you for being my partner, my friend, my mentor, and just being an incredible human being. It’s been a pleasure working with you for the past year. I envision working with you for many years to come.
