Start the day by choosing happiness
What was the first thought on your mind when you woke up this morning? If it wasn’t something positive, it probably impacted your day in a negative way. It’s amazing how those first few minutes after waking up can shape your entire day.
Every morning, regardless of what my first thought is, I sit up and plant my feet firmly on the ground. I declare out loud, “Today is going to be a great day.”
It doesn’t take more than 3 seconds–and it completely transforms my day! I notice a big difference between the days I’m consistent about doing this simple practice and the days when I forget. It’s like building a foundation of happiness that carries me through the day.
I learned this from BJ Fogg, a behavioral scientist at Stanford. He recommends adopting this morning habit in order to give yourself a positive outlook on the day. You can change the words to whatever you want, as long as they give you hope for the day. You can say something like, “It’s going to be an awesome day!” “Today will be exceptional.” “I’m going to crush it today!”
The daily path to spiritual renewal
After I start my day by choosing happiness, I create a pathway to the Divine by reciting the Ana b’Ko’ach prayer. This is a mystical Kabbalic prayer that offers spiritual renewal and invites divine aid. I feel more enlightened every time I pray this prayer.
For me, the most touching part of the prayer is that it points me towards the Tree of Life. I’m encouraged to leave behind the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which is characterized by “doomscrolling” and other rabbit holes, and pursue the Tree of Life, which is where to find miracles. The power of the Tree of Life allows you to partner with the Creator to turn chaos into miracles.
I’ve been blessed to be a part of turning chaos into miracles in my own life. One day, I was reading a book and listening to a podcast simultaneously. Suddenly, in the podcast audio, I heard the word I was reading at the exact moment I was reading it. I thought, “That was weird.” Then, five minutes later, it happened again! I realized this was an angelic way to get my attention.
Seriously, the topic of that podcast episode had nothing to do with the word the host said at that exact moment. And I don’t believe coincidences happen randomly. I think they’re all divine intervention.
Immediately, I felt compelled to become a part of this author’s community. I joined her Patreon (something I never do) and started learning some specific things that had a direct and significant impact on my prosperity and the prosperity of a number of people I care about. It was a miracle.
Instead of becoming subject to the chaos in your life, turn it into miracles. All it takes is a listening ear and a heart willing to learn what the Creator has to share with you. When you partner with your higher power, you gain access to wisdom you never would have received otherwise.
A hedge of protection
The last morning habit I engage in is the Metatron Prayer of Protection and Abundance. This is a prayer that was given to Michelle Whitedove by the archangel Metatron, who is the scribe of God. Metatron holds a special position in the heavenly realm, having once been incarnated as Enoch on earth (one of two men in the Bible who never died). Now, he is the keeper of the Akashic Records, an archive of every thought, word, and deed our souls have ever experienced across all lifetimes, which is also known as the Book of Life.
This prayer involves sacred geometry, in particular the Merkaba, which is an angelic lightship that you place around yourself along with three bubbles of protection so you cannot be harmed by the darkness.
Why is it so important to protect yourself against evil? When you practice in public, you become more of a target of the darkness. You attract attention, envy, judgment, and attacks from others. To combat this, take steps to protect yourself and your family spiritually. Spiritual armor like this prayer creates a powerful hedge of protection for you and your family.
Of course, you don’t need to follow my morning routine exactly as I’ve laid it out. Find what works for you, what makes you feel happy, renewed, and protected. Allow me to bless you with a blessing from the Torah as you begin this journey. “May God bless you and safeguard you. May God illuminate His countenance for you and be gracious to you. May God turn His countenance to you and give you peace.”

Most of us probably think that aging is inevitable, something the entire humanity is doomed with. - Smoking and drinking alcohol. These are generally just bad for your health. Smoking can damage the lungs and can cause fatal diseases such as pneumonia, emphysema, and lung cancer. Excessive alcohol affects the liver. If one of these major body organs experience deterioration, your overall health is compromised.
- Sedentary lifestyle. Sitting in front of your computer for more than five hours every day? Eating processed food? Not getting enough sunlight? Lack of exercise and a nutritious, balanced diet affect your cell growth.
Here’s what you need to do instead:
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Obviously, if your goal is to live longer, your health should always be in top shape. Remember that it’s not just about eating right and having an active lifestyle. Take your mental health into consideration as well. Meditate, prioritize me time, or take a break when needed.
- Get regular check-ups. We take our cars to the shop for an annual tune-up, why not do the same care for ourselves too? The golden rule in healthcare is prevention is better than cure. Level up your annual check-ups by taking advanced medical tests that can show a more detailed report on your health status. You can also get your telomeres checked too. Companies like TeloYears and Titanova tell you how your telomeres compare in length to others your age.
- Design your regular supplement intake. There are so many food supplements available in the market and as much as you want to have all of them to keep you healthy, that’s actually not good for you. Consult with your physician and create a supplement regimen that can boost your immune system.

The word bacteria is usually correlated with diseases, giving it a negative reputation. But the bad rap these microorganisms get is uncalled for! While it’s true that some bacteria may be harmful to our system, some are actually necessary to keep you alive and healthy.

What is the Gut Microbiome’s Role in the Body?
The gut microbiome affects the digestive, central nervous, and immune systems. It starts to become active at birth and then gradually diversifies as we get older. Your body’s metabolism, resilience against viruses and diseases, and your capacity to cope with stress have a lot to do with your gut microbiome’s condition.
How does one maintain a healthy microbiome?
Our lifestyle and the food we eat affect our gut microbiome’s performance, which in turn affects our bodily functions. To ensure a healthy microbiome, eating clean is key. Plant-based, fermented, and prebiotic-rich foods should regularly be on your grocery list.
Some examples of fermented foods rich in probiotics are cultured milk and yogurt, kimchi, cider, sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha, pickles, miso, and tempeh. The benefits of this are quite exceptional, from smoothing out skin wrinkles to an increased libido.
On top of that, avoid sugar like the plague. Sugar does more harm than good in the body. It’s one of the main culprits of weight gain, blood sugar spikes, and hormonal imbalances. Excessive intake may also cause bloating, gas, and diarrhea.
Not all bacteria are harmful to your body, and some are actually necessary to keep you healthy such as Lactobacillus, Bifidobacteria, etc.
A healthy gut microbiome can help you prevent diseases, obesity, and hormonal imbalance. Your main priority should be the food you eat. Realistically, what you give your gut is what you get in return for your health and longevity.
